目標與任務

(1) 體制面:定義英語授課專業課程種類,推動雙語課程系統;協助各學院英語授課專業課程規劃與執行; 協助全人教育中心英文課程規劃與學生能力檢測。

(2) 教師支援:發展英語授課師資培育課程。

    (3) 教學品保:研擬英語授課課程評量格式,測試準確度與徵詢學生對課程意見。
    (4) 學生英語學習:協助重點培育學院學生英語能力檢測、數位課程教材規劃與製作,並推動學生英語學習。
    (5) 統整並推廣專業英語課程(English for Special Purposes, ESP)與英語自學資源。
    (6) 建置網站,統整並推廣本校英語(EMI)與雙語授課資訊(含數位課程)。
Areas of work in 2021~2024 include: 

1) Defining types of EMI: 
using the term “EMI” to indicate courses where English is use 70% and above;  “bi-lingual,” for courses in which English is used 30%-70%. 
2) Implementing a bi-lingual syllabus system and adding under “language of instruction” the choices of EMI and bi-lingual ed. in order to allow the students to choose courses based on their language abilities. 
3) ESAP & EMI Course Module Provision:
a. Increasing ESP and ESAP courses to prepare students for taking EMI courses;
b. (BEC) producing exemplary EMI online courses for all students to take;
c. (all the colleges and the Holistic Center) regularly increasing EMI courses and organizing them into modules.
4) Student Support: Supporting students’ learning with abundant self-learning resources and awards for EMI course-taking.
5) Teacher Support: Supporting teachers with EMI certificate courses offered both at school and internationally. 
6) Quality Assurance: Setting up a course evaluation system which includes questions re. EMI practices and the percentages of language used.
