Julia Hsieh (謝佩璇)

Hi, I’m Julia. I completed my B.A. and M.A. from Fu-Jen University, Department of English Language and Literature and an M.A. from University of Illniois at Urbana Champaign, Department of Linguistics. In the past decade I was relocated from Chicago, IL to Berkeley, CA.  I have been dedicated to volunteering and advocating for the Autism community since 2015.

Stephanie Sayson

Hi! I’m Stephanie. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Engineering at FJCU. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Biology at University of San Carlos, Philippines. I did my Master’s program in San Carlos and was a visiting researcher at Yale University for my master’s thesis on mosquito genetics. Before moving to Taiwan, I was a faculty in the Department of Biology at University of San Carlos. Aside from my passion for scientific research, I have been a tutor for the English Self-Learning Center at FJCU since 2019. Outside of my academic life, I love traveling, photography and outdoor activities.

Cathy Yang　（楊紫涵）

Hello, everyone! My name is Cathy Yang 楊紫涵. I immigrated to the United States at age 8, lived in New Jersey growing up, and experienced the New York metropolitan area for 10 years. Later, I reconnected with my roots in Taiwan, and lived abroad in Germany.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature at FJCU and a Bachelor's degree in English and American Studies at Universität Bayreuth in Germany. I am currently writing my Master's thesis for M.A. Intercultural Anglophone Studies at Universität Bayreuth.

I have worked as a tutor for the English Self-Learning Center at FJCU for a few years, helping students practice English conversation and engage in cross-cultural communication.

I enjoy travelling, intercultural exchange, and lively conversation. Nice to meet you!
