【Announcement】National Taiwan Normal University EMI Resource Center Launches EMI Professional Development Programs, EMI Academic English Talent & Leadership Program, and EMI Faculty Learning Community Grant Program for the First Semester of AY2026–2027
The EMI Resource Center at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) will offer the following programs during the first semester of the 2026–2027 academic year:
These opportunities are open to faculty members and students from universities across Taiwan.
Faculty members who are currently teaching or planning to teach English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) courses are invited to apply.
The program consists of four modules:
The first three modules will be delivered online through courses and lectures, while the fourth module consists of an in-person teaching demonstration. The total program duration is 36 hours.
Participants who successfully complete all 36 hours, including the teaching demonstration, will receive a Certificate of Completion jointly issued by the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association (TWAEA), and National Taiwan Normal University.

Program Duration: September 1 – November 30, 2026
Symposium: November 13–14, 2026, at National Taiwan Normal University (participants are encouraged to reserve these dates).

This program is open to undergraduate and graduate students as well as individuals interested in serving as EMI Teaching Assistants (EMI TAs) or Writing Center Tutors.
Courses are delivered online by EMI specialists and Academic English instructors, providing flexible learning opportunities. Participants who successfully complete the program, including the final presentation, will receive a Certificate of Completion.
NTNU EMI Resource Center also welcomes collaboration with universities interested in establishing customized EMI TA training programs.

Program Duration: September 16 – November 25, 2026
Final Presentation: November 25, 2026, conducted online.

Faculty members who have previously completed the one-year overseas EMI training program organized by the NTNU EMI Resource Center are invited to form cross-institutional faculty learning communities.
Applicants may choose one of the following themes:
Through collaborative learning, practical implementation, peer feedback, and discussions with EMI experts, participants will strengthen their teaching competencies, promote innovative instructional practices, and accumulate evidence-based teaching outcomes.

Project Period: August 3 – October 30, 2026
