We will look at how to use formative assessments to check student understanding in real time, and why students often stay silent when asked, "Does anyone have any questions?" Participants will learn four principles for creating welcoming "entry points" where students can engage: asking focused questions, modeling answers, building questions into lecture slides, and varying response types. Participants will then hear from instructors at Taiwanese universities about how they apply these principles in their own classes, and how working with a Fulbright Taiwan EMI advisor helped them brainstorm and put interactive teaching strategies into practice. 這場工作坊將帶領教師探索簡單實用的方法，打造出互動性更高、以學生為中心的課堂。我們將探討如何運用「形成性評量」來隨時掌握學生的吸收狀況，並剖析為什麼每次問台下「有沒有問題？」時，學生總是一陣沉默。 本活動將一同討論如何透過提出具體聚焦的問題、示範如何回答、將問題直接融入授課簡報，以及運用多元的答題方式等四大原則引導學生參與，創造友善的「互動契機」。最後，我們也邀請到台灣大專院校的老師現身說法，分享實際應用的課堂經驗，以及在與學術交流基金會 EMI 顧問的合作中，如何激盪出教學靈感，並成功落實互動式教學策略。 🌞🌞🌞Session 2 場次二 Flipped Classroom 翻轉教室 Speakers 講者 🔹Dr. Curt Schurgers, Teaching Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of California San Diego 寇特·舒爾格斯 博士 (加州大學聖地牙哥分校 電氣與電腦工程學系 教學教授) Description 講者簡介 Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at UC San Diego with extensive experience in engineering education, embedded systems, and wireless networks. Known for pioneering active learning methodologies, flipping classrooms, and leading student-centered, multidisciplinary research programs in exploration and conservation technology.
